Honestly, I don’t quite know why Hexbugs are so popular, because the only thing that scares me more than bugs is the idea that they could become robotic and take over the world. But they haven’t taken over the world… not yet, anyway… and the kids seem to love ’em.
Ahem. Where was I? Oh! Right! So Amazon currently has the Hexbug Nano Habitat Set for just $11.99, Prime shipping eligible, and not only is that the lowest price it’s ever been, it’s rated something like 4.5 stars.
But I still find it creepy. Just so we’re clear.
Already up to $18.64. Bummer. But I don’t know anything about these, except that they look intriguing for boys. Could it be a cooler less-annoying toy than the Zhu Zhu pets? The house makes it look like it…

I actually find these strangely hypnotic, which is possibly part of their plan to take over the world. My daughter loves them, though.
