I confess, I used to be a the-drugstore-products-are-fine kind of gal. Skin care, schmincare. Why spend a ton of money?
And then… I turned 40. Alas.
I’m still not going to take out a second mortgage for magic face cream, or anything, but I sure am a lot more mindful of what I use on my skin, now. Ahem.

Please, it all went to hell for me when I turned 33. My whole life I’ve been able to roll out of bed and go. After a certain age I’d put on mascara. Then I started adding a layer of powder in the car on my way to wherever. Now I wake up and it’s like, “OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED?!” Every dang morning.
