How ’bout them Dawgs?

Maybe it’s because I live in Bulldog (or Bulldawg, as the locals say) country that I find this so amusing, but did you know there’s a Crocs knock-off called Dawgs? I didn’t, but they’re having a huge Dawgs sale today at Tanga—all styles are just $12.99 with free shipping! (For reference: That’s about half the cost at Amazon on most styles.)

They’re still, you know, plastic shoes… but the price is certainly right, and the kids’ ones are really cute.

My husband is traumatized by a low income childhood which translates in to name-branditis. One of our most recent disagreements was my purchase of a BOGO pair of NOT-Crocs from Payless for my two year old to use a water play/sprinkler shoes at daycare. He wanted to spend 36$ (that’s right, 36$) on the real ones next door at Foot Locker.

I won. And was validated when the first pair was lost the second day. Didn’t cry over my 10$ at all.
