Calling all sci-fi lovers: Right now you can get the Kindle edition of Wool—the first in a series of science fictions shorts by Hugh Howey—for free. Granted, it’s normally only $.99, but still.
You’ll want to grab that one and see if you like it, because if you do, they also currently have the Kindle edition of Wool Omnibus—that’s five Wool stories—for just $1.99.
And no, it doesn’t appear to really have much (if anything) to do with knitting. But I rarely see so many enthusiastic 5-star reviews, so it definitely looks like this is a winning series.

A first-rate series. Don’t bother with the single book, because you will be hungry to start on Book 2 as soon astounding finish Book 1. Get the Omnibus – it’s a really good read.
Just buy the whole thing, I read it straight through one night. A spectacular series.
