The most popular teething toy I see with babies these days is Sophie the Giraffe, the French toy that’s apparently filled with the equivalent of baby catnip. (Kidding! It isn’t filled with anything. But kids to love to gnaw on her.) The regular price for Sophie is around $18, with anything in the $13-$15 range being a pretty good deal.
If you don’t care about the box it comes in, right now Amazon has open box Sophies available for $10.91 (Prime and Super Saver Shipping eligible), which means you get a deal on a new Sophie because who cares if the box is open? It’s not a good idea for a gift, I guess, but if it’s for your own baby, this is a great way to save on a popular item.
And you know, back in my day, we just gave our kids old washcloths to chew on, and they liked it. Now get off my lawn.

For what it’s worth, have had great success with amazon open-box looking new/nearly new… definitely ‘gift’ worthy. And no kidding, these are like baby catnip… I had seen and balked at the ‘over-price’, then got one as a gift for my wee boy and he loved it for a very long time. Has been a go-to filler gift for baby-having friends ever since.
All gone 🙁
NOOOOOOO! Sigh. That’s what I get for not checking my reader before lunch. 🙁
Look again! They’re back (as of 11:55 CST on 9/4)
