A small existential crisis and two giant floaties

Hello! You may have noticed I have not been here. I am trying to figure out some things, like whether or not Want Not remains sustainable in a world where absolutely everyone now knows how to shop online and find deals, or how excited I can continue to be about a deal on paper towels when I’ve already been doing this for more than a decade.

Also, I’m pretty concerned about the fact that “mom jeans” are coming back as a cool thing for hip teenagers to wear. If that doesn’t herald the imminent death of polite society, I don’t know what does.

Anyway! I’ll wrestle with this stuff as best I can and get back to you. But in the meantime, today I stumbled across a deal that was too good not to share. You know how those giant unicorn pool floaty things have been everywhere this year, but they cost somanydollars? Today’s the day to make everyone’s dreams come true without emptying your wallet!

Amazon has this giant inflatable unicorn pool float available for $37.99—a typical price—but there’s a secret coupon code! Just enter code ZGOBSU9K at checkout and it’ll deduct $24, making your price just $13.99 with free shipping.

Don’t love the unicorn? The same company also has a giant inflatable dragon pool float on a similar deal—the original price of $37.99 drops to $13.99 when you apply coupon code I8FB8ALS at checkout.

[Note: If you try to check out with both of them, only one coupon will work. Place separate orders if you’re trying to get more than one.]

I feel like these are probably at least $14 worth of entertainment.

  1. This is fantastic!! Thank you so much for sharing, I really appreciate it.

  2. Now see….I would have never known about this deal if not for you. I can’t imagine getting through Christmas without you either. But I understand, and no pressure, just sayin’ I’d miss you if you go…

    • DITTO!!!

  3. I would get one but I don’t know where I would float it!

  4. I too would miss you very much, but I’m also someone who hasn’t written on her personal blog in months, so I get it.

  5. I just bought a unicorn one and I don’t even know why. Sometimes the bargains just call out to be mine.

  6. Thank you! I have a float party on Saturday and had nothing to float on…now I’ll have a golden dragon…

  7. Please keep posting deals! You always find amazing things!!

  8. Nooooo! We love you!! Don’t crisis anymore! How do I find out about deals? From YOU!!

  9. don’t gooooooo!!!!! I’ve been following you for said decade and will miss you muchly!

  10. Sadness… the deal seems to be over. But I would be waaaay sadder if you quit.. you make me laugh AND I still depend on you for deals. Even the paper towels!!!

  11. I’m still online deals stupid. Or lazy. I only hear about things from you and your colleagues- I still don’t know how to find the deals myself. Plus, I’d miss your snarky humor – your colleagues are low on that. 😉 I’ve been with you from the beginning too. It just wouldn’t be the same without you.

  12. Do what’s right for you Mir

  13. I can’t get it to work and this is all I ever wanted in my life!! A discounted floating unicorn!

  14. D’oh, I missed it. Oh well, we don’t actually have a pool yet.

  15. I’m with Liv — online-deals-stupid and big-appreciator-of-Snarky-Humor. 😉 I’d miss you bigtime for sure as of the list of 4 things I check on every day is wantnot.com.

Life certainly does evolve, and if you’ve gotta go, go. Just know that spot you hold on my favorites bar will be empty. 😞

  16. I am completely inept at finding bargains online. You have saved me a ton of money over the years. But you have a life, too. Just know that your faithful readers would hate to see you go.

  17. I’ve been hanging around for many years. I still make the bean crack dip from your other blog! I love your deals. This is my place for Christmas shopping! But you gotta do you.
