Want a pair of UGG-like boots, but possible without the UGG-like price? I have two options for you, today.
First, Amazon is doing a one-day-only savings event on select Bearpaw boots and slippers for 40% off, with prices starting at around $25.
Second, one of the featured deals today at 6pm.com is up to 50% off EMU boots.
If I’m being perfectly honest, I have to admit that I no longer find this style of boot quite so ugly as I used to, but still, the regular prices are a bit hard to choke down. At 40% or 50% off, though, they start to look a little nicer. Magic!
Anyone have any experience with how these boots compare to Uggs?
I have 3 pairs of Uggs (to die for sale at 6PM!!) and a pair of the Bearpaws from Amazon. I tend to wear the Bearpaws more since I got those in black. I find that they are just as warm & insulated as my Uggs. Very comfortable too. I have had no problems with dampness or foot fatigue. Overall, I would highly recommend them.
The Emu boots are warmer, softer and better-fitting than the Uggs. So are their slippers. My Uggs only lasted about two years (I probably should have replaced them sooner, too). Don’t know yet how long the Emus will last, but at less than half the price of the Uggs, I’m giving it a shot.
i don’t know if this counts, jen, but my sister has the ugg slippers like the ones that are sale right now and is love with them — she also has the bearclaw version of the ugg boot and loves those as well, and is actually mad that she got the actual ugg slippers instead of the bearclaw slippers because they’re just as good and are half the price. it’s not MY personal experience, but it’s A personal experience. 🙂 i’m asking for the bearclaw slippers for Christmas right now (i.e. emailing the link to my hubby and saying BUY NOW! 😉 ).
I got a pair of the Bearpaw boots from Amazon at the end of the season last year when Mir pointed out a deal on them.
Having never owned actual UGGs, I can’t say how these compare, but I CAN say that I love them!
They are so warm and comfy that I don’t mind (much) when my four year old wants to go to the park when it’s 40 degrees.
Also, don’t be surprised if they feel snug the first couple of times you wear them, it takes a little time for them to “mold” to your feet.
I bought a pair of Bearpaw boots recently and I love them!! They’re just as comfy as UGGs and so much cheaper. Definitely recommend them.
I want to throw another style into the mix… I just saw a couple pair on 6pm’s website. Sketcher tone-ups. I have a pair that is fuzzy and warm inside, suede outside. They are THE MOST comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I had the tone-up flip flops this summer, and wore them all the time. I can stand in these all day with no pain in my feet or back.
