Spreading the Apple gospel, one student at a time

Hey students! What’s better than a brand new Mac? How about a brand new Mac and a free iPod? Apple Store specials are few and far between, but this is a pretty nice little deal. Offer good through September 16th, 2006.

It almost makes me wish I was a student again. Minus the horrible nightmares about arriving in class naked for an unexpected final exam, of course. (What, you didn’t have those? Me neither.)

  1. I never had nightmares about arriving at an unexpected exam naked… but I *have* had nightmares about missing an exam or showing up too late to get in.

I work at a university and I just replaced the laptop computer that took a dive off a table (thank you so much kitties) a year or so ago. College students, faculty and staff can usually get a discount through some of the major manufacturers, but it’s always best (if you’re buying online) to build an order first with the educational discount and then without to compare. My colleague gave me a coupon for $400 off a system if you went to the special promo website, but I managed to save an additional $50 plus free shipping by not using it. Go figure. 🙂

  2. oh I STILL have nightmares about exams. Ugh ugh ugh.

But let me just plug the Macs ~ beautiful AND stable, who can ask for more in a computer?

  3. I have had so many dreams about being in high school and not knowing my class schedule, my locker’s location or combination, or where I parked my car. Ok, so not what you wanted to start a discussion about, but there ya go.

  4. Macs rule. Bill Gates SHOULD be scared!

  5. Sometimes educational institutions bargain directly with the company and have arranged special deals for students and alums through the college/university/etc. website.

  6. Another Apple bonus – they give educator discounts to homeschoolers. bonus!
