It’s like having a facial, every day

Category Contests

Today’s contest is particularly fun for me, because this is a product that is both 1) expensive and 2) fantabulous. I give away a lot of stuff for the kids, here, and with the holidays coming up I’m going to have several giveaways geared at pampering you, because—let’s face it—you’re the one doing all the work to make sure everyone else is happy. You deserve some swag just for you!

So here we go: Meet the Clarisonic Professional Skin Care System. It’s an ultrasonic facial brush. Stop laughing. I know, it sounds… a little weird. But you’re going to have to trust me on this. (If you want to read a detailed, first-hand account of its use, check out my review at BeautyHacks.) This baby is your key to clearer, smoother, more gorgeous skin, but the price tag is a little hefty for us cheapskates, right?

Well, I have a Clarisonic System right here that could be yours. Want to win it? To enter for a chance to win, simply leave a comment on this post by 11:59 p.m. Eastern (8:59 p.m. Pacific) on Wednesday, November 26th, 2008. One entry per person; valid email address required; commiseration about the extreme unfairness of adult acne will evoke empathy but not increase your chances. Winner to be determined by random number generation and SONAR. (Get it? Because it’s ultrasonic? Sonic? SONAR? Oh, nevermind.)

Ready? Go!

  721. Bob doesn’t want me to enter for this, but I am anyway… mostly because Bob is the giant pimple lurking right above my eyebrow.

That or my fetal twin, I haven’t decided, but he may have appeared a little recently for that.

    Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

  722. Wow, my chances of winning have significantly decreased with the amount of people here. But, it would be far worse if I didn’t enter at all. Thanks!

  736. Wow…this has to be your biggest response for a contest.

  737. Oh please randomly pick me!

    janetfaye (at) gmail (dot) com

  743. Pick me!! Pick me!! I’ve been dying for one of these!!!

  744. please oh please! I want to look pretty, too!

  745. I would love to have something to take care of the persistant adult acne. This sounds very cool!

  746. I’d love a chance at winning it. I couldn’t remember if I signed up after reading the review on your other site. I just skimmed 700+ posts and didn’t see my name – apologies if this is a repeat!

  747. I didn’t read the other comments, but if that thing could get rid of both my zits AND my dry skin, I would be eternally grateful. My husband asked me the other day, “What’s wrong with your nose?” It was a ZIT, dammit. He noticed that. There went one of his Christmas presents.

  748. Ok already. I am 44 and still breaking out…what gives? I am so tired of trying all the acne solutions that just dry out my older skin. I would be thrilled to give this a try.

  749. What I wouldn’t give to have decent skin. This looks like it might be the ticket.

  750. Oh my gosh, I want this so badly! What do you have to do to get in good with a random number generator? Promise a Binary Job?

  751. I thought as a forty something I wouldn’t still be plagued with breakouts but I am…and now wrinkles, dry skin, still oily t-zone, largeER pores, and sag on top of that?! Oh the humanity!
Please random number generator gods, pick me!

  752. Ok, due to the exCESSive amount of comments, I’m defs not going to win, but I WOULD LIKE ALL NEW SKIN, PLEASE!! Mine is kind of gross.

  753. I know a teenage son who could benifit from this.
    Stormy5475@aol.com

  754. post pregnancy my skin could use a lift!

  755. Wow, this would be a great treat! I always ask for a trip to the spa and never get it! This would be just as good!

  756. Pretty please, let me be the winner?! I have problem skin to start with, and with a 2 year old running around and my husband’s recent job loss, I could really REALLY use this. pleeeease? 😉
    xo!

  757. It looks like a wonderful gift…for me! I know you have a lot of comments here but I still wanted to speak up. I have noticed how different my skin looks if I take the time to scrub it a little. At my age, I guess my skin just needs to be sloughed (if that’s the right word). It’s always clearer and fresher if I take the time to apply some good ol elbow grease. It’s just that I don’t always take the time to manually scrub away. I like to scrub for awhile. I’m in a hurry in the am and too tired at night. If I were to win this I would take the time to quickly scrub away most nights. It’s just one of those gadgets that I would really use. I have a very old facial brush from Lancome from the 1980’s that I still use. It could use a modern update. This machine would definitely not sit in a drawer for me. I would appreciate having it.
Thanks for offering some wonderful gifts for all of us. My friend turned my on to your site. She’s right. It’s a fun place!

  761. If this thing an keep away the pimples, I want one! Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! I am random, maybe the random number thingy will like me.

  762. Keeping my fingers crossed, thanks for the great giveaway!

  763. i’ve always wanted this!

  764. I hope this gadget can replace trips to the skin doctor. Those visits sure get expensive. And don’t even think about getting a special treatment or you’ll go bankrupt. Keep those great suggestions coming Mir. Love reading all of your columns. Happy Thanksgiving!
