Once upon a time I was single-handedly keeping Scholastic in business with my book purchases. Ahem. I mean, sure, save money, but deny my children books? Never! And then I wised up and got Scholastic to hire me, and now they send me books for free. This is known as Nerd Nirvana.
But if you don’t work for Scholastic, you can still get great books and great bargains from them—like now: Through February 23rd, 2009, check out the Scholastic President’s Day Sale, and then use coupon code AFFPD to take an additional 20% off select sale items.
And then it’s not shopping, it’s educational and therefore 100% justifiable. Yay!
Gah! I think I’m singe handedly keeping Scholastic in business now.
What do you do for scholastic? Promote their books? Write? As a teacher, I would love to know!
She does the Kitchen Table reviews. I read them and then, er, uh, go get them at the library.

I lived for book order days in elementary school. So exciting.
*snickers* Nerdvana XD
Hee hee hee. I like Scholastic. I made myself stop buying with cash so I could pay for my Masters degree. Now I’m starting to slip a little. those bonus points are good, but there are so many good books…
That reminds me of my nerdly make-believe dream job: read fantasy/sci-fi/horror books to find the typos and get PAID for it! In my dreams . .
