I have to tell you, I’ve been working out on the Wii (my current punishment of choice is Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Ultimatum) and it’s really bringing out my creative side. You would not even believe the number of new epithets I have discovered/invented to hurl at the screen while I’m doing it. Yessiree, I find it quite the muse.

Ahem.

Anyway, today’s Amazon Gold Box deal is EA Sports Active for the Wii for just $40, which I hear has similar powers to bring out your vocal skills. It could be just the thing you need to punish yourself further really kick-start your new fitness regimen.

Not that you need it, of course. You look fabulous.

  1. Love/Hate EA Sports Active. I let it kick my butt a few times a week. I like that I can turn the sound down on the personal trainer. She is way too perky for me.

  2. I got this for Christmas and really like it. It has various levels of work out and a 30 day challenge.

  3. this is also on sale this week at best buy for $39.99- you can order online for in store pick up and not pay any shipping. It is however backordered if you order online with shipping, but I think you can still get the sale price.

  4. During its initial setup, the Wii requested that I name it. I dubbed it “Wii Hawken.”

  5. OK, I’m looking at the Jillian Michaels thing for my Wii Fit. Is it worth it? Do you really feel like you get a workout? Because, as fun as the games are on the Wii Fit disc, I don’t feel particularly worked out when I’m done.

  6. Wii Fit is an easy workout – you have to push yourself to make it harder. Wii Active – GREAT workout. I just started it this week, doing the easy level, and it makes me sweat and breathe hard. You can cheat on the workout just like with the Fit, but not as easily. And again, you can increase the intensity yourself if you want.

  7. We’ve been playing the Biggest Loser Wii Game. I’ve never been more exhausted.
