Refresh your hair for under a buck

I think we had a deal on this a while back, which is of course when I picked some up for my teenager. Right now Amazon has Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo available for $2.88—hardly a bank-breaker at the regular price, anyway—with an available $1.50 coupon you can clip, mid-page. I love items like this to round out my Subscribe & Save orders and get me to that 5+ subscription discount.

Clip the coupon, purchase via Subscribe & Save, and if you’ve gotten to 5+ subscriptions this month with Amazon Mom, you’ll pay just $.80. Plus it’ll make your teenager happy for, like, five whole minutes.

Cold weather is coming

It would probably be overkill for me here in Georgia, but if you live somewhere truly chilly you might want to check out Tanga today—they’ve got a down-alternative-filled sherpa comforter in Queen and King sizes for just $29 + $5 shipping, in a variety of colors. That’s down from an original price of $150, but even if that’s exaggerated, I’d say $34 for these babies is a steal.

(I kind of wish they had them in twin sizes, actually. My skinny children are always freezing, even here in the land of wimpy winters.)

I totally need this

Okay, this falls squarely into the category of “things I don’t really need but the pretty and the price and oops it fell into my Amazon cart!”

Amazon has four different available colors of this Rachael Ray stoneware egg tray, and for some reason the red one (the best color, anyway) is marked down to $6 when all the others are still $17. It’s so pretty! And unnecessary! But pretty!

My finger is hovering over the buy button, is what I’m trying to tell you. And I’m not even sure why.

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

… Halloween! (Why, what did you think I was going to say?)

But of course I’m already thinking about Christmas, because the time to stalk Advent calendar markdowns has already begun. And I’m not saying the LEGO calendars aren’t worth the exorbitant prices—because they absolutely are, and I’ve overspent on them, myself—but I’m always on the lookout for cheaper-but-equally-kid-pleasing options.

So maybe if your kid is into Angry Birds, you’ll want to check out today’s Amazon Gold Box, because it holds 50% off select K’Nex sets, including an unheard of half-off discount on the K’Nex Angry Birds Advent Calendar. It ends up building a pretty fantastic setup, and at $20 it’s a steal.

The deal is good today only, so don’t miss out if you want one.

Go natural with your body wash

I think we had a deal on this last December, but in case you missed it (or used it up)… right now Amazon has 3-packs of 7th Generation Body Wash available with a 50% off clippable coupon mid-page, plus it’s eligible for free shipping and additional discounts with Subscribe & Save.

With the coupon and my 5+ subscriptions for the month, I just snagged three bottles of peppermint for $6.47.

(Last time I got chamomile, which seems to be the only scent not eligible for the coupon now. My experience with this body wash is that the scent is pretty light no matter which one you get, and the reviews seem to bear that out. I like that it’s phthalate- and paraben-free, and deals like this make it as cheap as the drugstore generic stuff.)

A rare discount on the trendy stuff

This isn’t quite as rare as a unicorn sighting, but it’s pretty close—right now Piperlime is having a sale on select items, which almost never happens. Coupon code FALL takes 30% off qualifying items, and while most of them aren’t on sale pre-coupon, some of them are.

Now; every time I post something at Piperlime, someone comments that their stuff is “too expensive.” If you’re looking for Old Navy prices, well, you’re not going to find them here. On the other hand, Piperlime is where you can find the on-trend, fancier stuff (I see they have a pretty good assortment of “vegan leather” tops, which are apparently a hot item for fall). I know most of us aren’t going to buy an entire wardrobe there, but if you need a cocktail dress or one special item or whatever, it’s definitely worth a look when they run a sale like this.

One last today-only deal

I guess today was a big day for the one-day-only promos. Maybe if I’d had more coffee today I would’ve gotten this one up earlier. Whoops! Anyway, you’ve got until midnight: Today at Children’s Place every order ships for free, plus you can use coupon code J8H20AH for 20% off any order, code H8H5025H for 25% off your $40+ order, or code G8H6030H for 30% off your $50+ order!

Get the deals while the getting’s good! They’ve still got some summer clearance laying around, so you could stock up for next year.

Extra discount, today only

Surely there’s something in the motley assortment of goods over at Tanga you were thinking about buying today, anyway, but now it’s even better: For one day only, they’re letting you use coupon code TENOFF for an extra 10% off.

They’re stuff is cheap enough that 10% isn’t much, but every penny counts. I see that bundle of a dozen men’s t-shirts is $30, and shipping is $1.99, so it’d save you the shipping and another buck on that. As for whether or not you need 12 t-shirts, well, I can’t help with that part. They have other stuff, too.

Leggo my LEGO? Bundle my LEGO!

If you have a kid who loves all things LEGO, don’t miss this deal: Right now Best Buy is offering a LEGO Minotaurus bundle for just $14.99 (free shipping on your $25+ order, or free in-store pickup locally). You get the Minotaurus board game (currently $17 at Amazon) with the LEGO Battles Nintendo DS game (currently $15 at Amazon)—it’s like you pay for the DS game and get the board game for free!

I think this is pretty much the perfect marriage; you get the DS game the kids are clamoring for, plus you get the hot LEGO board game that convinces them to unplug for a while. And you get it all for half price. Nice!

Replace those ratty undershirts and stuff

Listen, I don’t want to judge your underwear with the stretched out elastic, but… I’m just saying that you deserve a little better, y’know? Also I have a kid who likes to sleep in undershirts and those undershirts mysteriously get disgusting for reasons I don’t fully understand. Anyway! Right now at Jockey, you can shop the already-reduced sale and clearance items and then apply coupon code OCTSALE to take an additional 15% off and get free shipping.

That means things like undershirts for just a few dollars each, or underwear with functional elastic for even less. Because you’re worth it.
