Father’s Day? There’s a sale for that.

Stumped on good gift deal for Father’s Day? Right now there’s tons of mens’ items on sale at Piperlime, and for three days only (through June 7th, 2013) you can use coupon code GIFT to take an additional 20% off. Sure, you can grab him a tie or a nice shirt, but they also have accessories like iPhone cases and wallets and such, too.

Remember, everything at Piperlime ships for free, every day. Combine the sale with the coupon and the free shipping, and you can look like a big spender without actually having to be a big spender. Perfect.

One of my favorite funny men

Amazon seems to offer a Gold Box deal on Mel Brooks movies once a year or so, and I always feel compelled to highlight the deal, because Mel Brooks is hilarious. If you haven’t seen his movies—or if you’ve seen them but don’t yet own them—this is a great way to binge on the hilarity. Today only, you can get the Blu-ray collection for just $24, or the DVD set for $22. For die-hard fans, there’s also the “The Incredible Mel Brooks” DVD set with history, interviews, and clips from non-movie appearances.

And if you got through this entire post without hearing “It’s FRAHNKEN-SHTEEN” in your head, clearly you need more Mel Brooks in your life.

Because I’m a sucker for a colorful kitchen

I know some of you really dislike the must-register-to-browse sites, but if you can get past that to check out One Kings Lane, you’ll get a $15 credit (towards a $30+ purchase) just for signing up through my link, plus they’re running a “Colorful Cookware & Tabletop” event today which contains basically everything I would like to have in my kitchen. Super cute stuff.

If it’s not your cup of tea, I understand. (But if you want a really adorable mug to put your tea in, they’ve got you covered.)

Hooray for LOLShirts!

How do I love LOLShirts? Let me count the ways! No; wait. Nevermind, that would take too long. Let’s just say that I love that they have something for everyone, and my picky teens love them.

Plus, they’re cheap, even normally. But right now they’re running a huge site-wide sale—coupon code 5OFFEVERYTHING takes $5 off every single shirt, plus shipping is free! It’s a perfect time to outfit the kids, get a funny shirt for Dad for Father’s Day, whatever.

Of course, I may need a shirt or two while I’m shopping. At these prices, why not?

Because there’s always more laundry

It’s not as much fun as buying shoes, sure, but at least buying laundry detergent is a little bit easier to justify. Right now Amazon has this 2-pack of Tide HE Free & Gentle detergent available for $12.98, which isn’t too bad. But there’s also a $1.50 coupon to clip, mid-page, plus if you buy via Subscribe & Save you’ll get free shipping and save between 5-20% depending on how many subscriptions you have. If you have Amazon Mom and get up to 5+ subscriptions for the month, you’ll pay just $8.88 delivered between the discount and the coupon (which is probably less than it will cost them to ship it to you; detergent is heavy).

And with the money you save, you can always buy… well, something else. Maybe for your feet. Ahem.

Or if you prefer…

JC Penney is also doing discounts and free shipping, today.

Use code FSH13 today (Monday, June 3rd) only for free shipping on any size order, or use FS100 for free shipping plus 15% off $100+, or FS250 for free shipping plus 20% off $250+. That last code is perfect if you need some patio furniture, by the way.

Basically, today’s a very good department store shopping day without having to actually go anywhere. What a coincidence; that’s my favorite kind of shopping!

Everything you need, Friends & Family discounted

It’s time to scope out the sales over at Bon-Ton—for a limited time, you can use FRIENDSPREV (that’s, uh, for friends’ preview, not that your friends are perverts, which is how I read it the first time…) for 25% off nearly everything, plus you can use coupon code FREESHIP for free shipping on every order.

Bon-Ton is fast rivaling Kohls for me in terms of perpetual discounts on the sorts of things I’m always buying, anyway. They ship really quickly, too. Plus, it’s fun to say. Bon-Ton! Bon-Ton! Bon-Ton!

Yes, I did have an extra cup of coffee this morning. Why do you ask?

One of my favorites just got luckier

You know how I feel about Lucky Brand, right? It’s one of my absolute favorites—they’re one of the few brands of jeans I’ve found that actually fit, plus their other stuff is super cute—but the prices tend to make me cringe. Usually I stick to stalking TJ Maxx and Marshalls for their stuff, but right now they’re offering an extra 25% off and free shipping on everything for a limited time. The discount even works on items already on sale!

That’s probably not enough of a discount for me to go on a full shopping spree, but a little something…? I’m off to shop.

Dressing up this summer?

One of the featured boutiques over at 6pm.com today (I think it’s the 4th button on the rotating splash screen thingie) is an under-$75 selection of dresses. I don’t know about you, but for me, even $75 is often pushing my cheapskate envelope, but check it out—there’s pages and pages of options in the $30-$40 range, and everything from pool cover-ups to evening gowns in there.

This also includes a ton of Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique options, and the last time they had a sale like this I got one of their dresses to check it out. It’s really well-made and cute, too! And the prices are certainly right.

The wonderful world of Oz for under a dime per book

Did you ever read all the Oz books when you were a kid? I loved them, and my son recently read them all and loved them as well. There’s 14 in all, and you can grab the entire Oz series on Kindle right now for $.99.

This is one of those “if you never read these, I promise you’ll be pleasantly surprised” series I’m always recommending to people. It’s hard to believe the first book was written in 1900—these stories hold up really well in spite of their age.
