Croc it to me savings, today only
I have to say I really resent that Crocs started making shoes that look like real shoes. It makes it hard to poke fun at them for being only plastic clogs when they also make kind of cool canvas sneakers and leather flats and stuff. What am I supposed to taunt, now? (Maybe the return of jelly shoes. I’ll have to look into that.)
Regardless, for our family, summer includes Crocs, and today is the day to gear up: For one day only (today: Tuesday, March 19th), take 20% off and get free shipping on any size order when you use coupon code LOYAL3427. Get the kids their summer kicks, and if a pair of polka-dotted skimmers fall into the cart for you, well really, who could blame you? Certainly not me.
Woot it to me
Did you think today was going to be an ordinary Tuesday? Not so! Because today there’s a Woot-Off, baby—they’re cycling through deals faster than you can say, “Weally, Woot?” Keep your eye on Woot, Home.Woot, Sport.Woot, Kids.Woot, and Wine.Woot today for deals galore.
Don’t forget, you pay just $5 shipping for everything you buy in a day, so once you get that first deal, everything else ships for free. Really, staying with it all day just further amortizes that single shipping payment over your orders until you no longer feel like you paid shipping at all! (I think I just crossed the line from bargain-hunter to bargain-nerd.) Oooh, is that a cheap scooter on Sport.Woot? Gotta go.
Hungry hungry nostalgia
When I was a kid, the commercials for Hungry Hungry Hippos entranced me. I longed to have my own hippos. Clearly it was the coolest game ever. I would play it at friends’ houses and marvel over it.
I have no idea if today’s kids find it similarly enrapturing (I suspect not, but who knows?), but right now Amazon has Hungry Hungry Hippos available for $18.97 with an available $5 off coupon to clip, making it just under $14, or their lowest price ever. Is that worth it for a bunch of marbles and plastic hippos for a kid who would probably rather play Angry Birds? Maybe not. But maybe you want one for yourself.
It’s okay. I won’t tell.
Cheap checks? Check!
I just did this deal to make sure it worked (and also because I was nearly out of checks; that worked out pretty well). If you’re tired of overpaying your bank for checks you probably don’t even like, hop on over to Checks In The Mail and click on the “Special Offer For New Customers.” Then you can pick a box of 125 checks and get ’em for just $5 when you apply coupon code 215A. (Just make sure to turn down the Fraud Armor offer and select non-trackable mailing.)
That’s just four cents per check, and I don’t know about you, but a box of checks lasts me about… um… three years. Heh.
Get extra Lucky
As much as I adore Lucky Brand, I am still trying to figure out if they surreptitiously weave platinum threads into their clothing. This is the only explanation I can think of for their regular retail prices. (Well, that or ancient elven blessings, and let’s not be silly.) Still, when I can grab a bargain, I do, because their stuff is so cute.
Anyway, shop ’em online today and you can get free shipping and an additional 20% off your purchase or already-reduced sale items, automatically. That brings the prices down to Normal Human realm, in some cases. There’s a cute pair of earrings in the clearance section, too, if you’re not looking for clothes….
Knit one, Sci-Fi two
If you love Science Fiction and you’re looking for a cheap but compelling read, hop on over to the Kindle store—Amazon has the Wool Omnibus available right now for just $3.99. That’s all five Wool books in one, at under $1 apiece!
I can’t think of another book I’ve seen on Amazon that has nearly 4,000 reviews with an average of… 5 stars. Either this is a really good series or at the end it turns out that every reader gets replaced by a pod person. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind the latter. (My replacement could take care of the laundry.)
Click fast for a tablet deal
If you’ve been waiting for a great deal on a tablet—and don’t have particularly strong feelings about which one you end up with—today’s the day to park yourself over at Cowboom. Their Deal of the Day is another Tablet Flash Sale, with deals rotating through about as quickly as you can click. These are pre-owned, refurbished units, and the cosmetic damage to them is graded (and sometimes significant), so this isn’t the place to get a pristine piece. But if you don’t care about a few scuffs, it could be the place to score a tremendous deal. And if you don’t like the option you see, well, just reload the page—it’ll be a different choice.
(I’ve already seen a $400 PlayBook come up for $90, and a Toshiba Thrive for just $150. Good stuff.)
Ship it for free (for three hours)
If you’d been considering a purchase over at Tanga, now is the time to bite—for the next three hours (from 12-3 Pacific, or 3-6 Eastern) everything on the site ships for free with coupon code FREESHIP. I’m not sure how this relates to Pi Day but I feel like it must, somehow.
I guess it’s time for me to go do some T-shirt shopping….
Sit, Sharky
Do you have a large dog? Would your large dog be absolutely hilarious dressed as a shark, particularly when said shark costume is available at an all-time-low price of just $10.21, about half the usual cost?
Will you please buy that, dress your dog, and take a picture for me? Because I can’t stop laughing.
Be a VIP at Macy’s
Right now the Macy’s web site is showing a 15% off coupon, but you’re more important than that. (Of course you are!) Go ahead and use coupon code VIP for 20% most everything (including sale and clearance items), though of course it drops to 10% on things like furniture and electronics. Still, it could be a way to snag a great deal.
Shipping is automatically free on $99+ before coupon, so it’s not too hard to get there. (And I do so love that they don’t drop the free shipping if your coupon takes you lower, too. Classy move, Macy’s!)
The code should work through the weekend. Happy savings!
