Love it at Lands’ End

Lately Lands’ End has been pretty generous with the 50%-off-full-price-items codes, but you still have to get to $50 or $75 (after coupon!) for free shipping. That’s why today is so awesome—you can not only use coupon code COCOA for 50% off full-price items, you’ll also get free shipping on any size order! Perfect if there’s just one or two things you’ve had your eye on.

Buying something already on sale? The code will give you free shipping, at least, even though it won’t give you an additional discount. Or if you’d rather get the discount and aren’t worried about paying for shipping, coupon code EARLY50 takes half off sale items.

I don’t own a single thing from Lands’ End that didn’t basically last forever (when we lived up north I always bought my kids’ snow gear there and passed it down), so I’m all over this one.

Building kits for the big kids

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but: I sort of miss the days when every birthday and holiday gift was LEGO. Now that my kids are too grown up for all that, I kinda miss it, is all.

If you’ve got big(ger) kids or even adults who love to build, Amazon’s just done a bunch of price drops on Robotime kits. It’s not LEGO, but it looks really cool.

This treasure box is down to under $15 (49% off).
This robot music box is down to under $20 (41% off).
And this amazing train locomotive is down to around $25 (49% off).

Bonus: the parts probably won’t hurt nearly as much as LEGO when you step on ’em.

Even though it’s Tuesday…

… two of my favorites still have their Cyber Monday sales going on! Both Modcloth and LOFT have 40% off nearly everything right now, with some items even more deeply discounted. And you still have all day today to get in on the deals. Better still, both stores are offering free shipping on every order!

(I’ll be honest; I was pretty much shopped out by yesterday, but I’ll make an exception for a couple of my favorite clothing destinations.)

Steal the best jammies today

Whether or not you’ve been shopping at Old Navy in the last week, you’ll want to pop over there today—their Steal of the Day is $5 pajama pants and thermal tops for the whole family, and that’s aside from essentially the entire rest of the store being 40% off.

I swore I was going to stop getting matching pajamas for my kids every Christmas after the first one left for college, but here I am with a 21-year-old and a nearly 20-year-old and, well, let’s just say I appreciate sales like this from Old Navy a lot. #suckermom

Need a ladder?

Maybe it’s not for under the tree—though I certainly won’t judge you if it is—but I got a couple of these Gorilla 3-Step Ladders on a previous deal and they are just about the handiest thing ever. At the current Home Depot price of just $9.88 (I’d suggest buying online and picking up at your local store) they’re a complete no-brainer. I use mine around the house whenever I paint (which was last… a couple of weeks ago), and my kid has one at her apartment to reach the top of the kitchen cabinets. It folds flat so it’s easy to tuck away.

So yeah, not the sexiest Black Friday deal ever, but still a darn good price on a highly useful item.

It’s baaaaack

One of my favorite deals is back today, and this time it comes along with all sorts of other deals and free shipping! That’s right, Aerie is doing 10 pairs of undies for $30 again, as well as 40% off their collection and $20 pj pants. And everything ships for free, today only.

Just remember, ladies who are more my age, Aerie is juniors’ sizing. Size up! (I wear a 4 and I take a medium in their undies.)

But what should you buy from Amazon today?

I don’t know about you, but I get a leetle bit overwhelmed by all the Lightning Deals and such at Amazon on days like today. It’s still worth it to wade through them, of course, but I thought I’d give you a few quick tips on deals you might want.

Do you have an Alexa? Today only, say “Alexa, order Amazon Smart Plug” and it’ll get put in your cart for $20 off—just $4.99.

Can’t afford an Apple Watch? (Me, neither.) The Amazfit Bip Lite is getting amazing reviews (especially on battery life) and today it’s just $50.

There are tons of board game deals happening right now, which means I have to mention the perennial family favorites like Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne (both half off today).

Still don’t have an Instant Pot? Over half off, today—just $65 for the 8-quart.

Finally, this is not a special deal but I’ve been meaning to share that I saw these Levi’s jeggings on one of those “things at Amazon that really are as good as everyone says” clickbait lists and because they were around $22 I figured what the heck. Y’all. Y’ALL. I am not a “leggings are pants” person. I do not want jeans that look like leggings. These are not only insanely flattering, they look like regular jeans but feel like leggings. And they’re cheap! I love them unapologetically. Price varies by size/color but you will not be sorry.

Shop for the family

The usual suspects in department stores will allow you to find clothing deals for the whole family, of course. But if you’re shopping for the kids, everything is at least 50% off and up to as much as 80% off at Children’s Place, and if you’re shopping for nice clothes for guys, don’t miss Jos. A. Bank because today they’ve got deals on everything from ties to shoes and everything in-between.

(Children’s Place isn’t particularly pricey even at full retail, of course, but it’s nice to save. Jos. A. Bank, on the other hand… I love their clothes, but my husband only gets stuff from there during sales like this!)

Target’s gonna do you a solid for later

If you’re shopping at Target for deals today, they’ve got you covered for a future shopping trip, too—spend $50+, and they’ll email you a 20% coupon to use on a future shopping trip. Pretty sweet.

They’ve got the usual suspects as doorbusters, of course, including a pretty sweet deal on Apple Watch 3 if you don’t mind going with an older version to save some cash. Tons of toy and game deals, too. And (of course, my favorite) don’t forget the matching family pajamas for maximum child embarrassment!

But that future coupon? Well, Imma take that to the store for groceries next month, because I’m no fool.
