Here’s a site I’ve never heard of before, but in the spirit of Woot! and Daily Zort, they are having a so-called Wacky Wednesday over at Thing Fling:

Starting at 12:00 a.m. est, Thingfling.com presents WACKY WEDNESDAY. Every half hour we will sell a new item. In the 24 hour period we will offer between 24-26 new items. In fairness to each coast we will present the item twice (unless it is sold out). The best part is….EVERY ITEM IS UNDER $5.00 INCLUDING SHIPPING!!! So you could shop to your hearts content and not go broke. This may be a one time offer so don’t miss out.

I hope you weren’t planning on getting any work done today….

  1. When I click that Daily Zort link I end up at some marine products website. Like boating stuff.

  2. Ooookay… weird, I guess Daily Zort is no more.

  3. Great! I was looking for an excuse not to go run errands in the cold.

  4. Don’t despair, though! Thing Fling is real! It must be overloaded with visitors, cuz it takes forever to load, but it eventually does everythng that Pretty Mir said.

  5. Zort update:
I never visited Daily Zort before, but we like marine products on sale, so I took a look-see. Seems a marine supply co. took over the site, but kept part of the Zort concept. So, if you need marine products on sale, there is in fact a daily sale on this site, called ‘Capt. Zort’s Catch of the Day.’ Here is the direct link to the daily sale: http://www.i-marinesupply.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=567&DEPARTMENT_ID=199

  6. I’m really liking this Thing Fling thing! Nothing over $5 and free shipping makes it easy to pick up little odds and ends that I need without worrying about it adding up too much. And they accept PayPal, so I don’t have to worry about trying to dig out my credit card inconspicuously here at work.

Another bonus is it shows a queue of what items are coming up over the next couple of hours, so I can come back for what I want. Think we could sell Woot on this idea for their woot offs? 🙂
