Tonight it’s not free, but it is unbelievably cheap—just thirty-one cents, in fact.
That’s right, it’s back at Baskin Robbins tonight (April 30th, 2008) from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.! Consider it an excellent twofer: You get ice cream on the cheap, and you’re encouraging Baskin Robbins to contribute to charity (this year’s event to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation).
Limit 10 scoops per person, by the way. I find that hilarious—like maybe someone would be up at the counter, demanding that eleventh scoop, otherwise.

… over a Flip, that is, you might want to check out the deeply discounted Canon ZR700 MiniDV camcorder
as a possibility. It’s got a 25x optical zoom and it takes those adorable little mini-discs, so you can keep recording without having to get to a computer to offload your content.
It’s currently down to $179.99 from around $500, and is a great option if you want something with a bit more control (I do love our Flip, but it doesn’t have a zoom function) for about the same price.
And I tried to think of a good way to tie kangaroo jerky into this post, somehow, but I just haven’t come up with anything. Feel free to pretend that I did, though.

Despite my fear of the rabbit on the cover, I’m told that Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 is a great Wii game, and that its current price of $29.99 is a bargain.

It’s Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s! Just find a local scoop shop and then plan to stop in for something yummy. Because, really, is there any more beautiful union of words than “free” and “ice cream?”
