More markdowns before I hit the road

Today is the beginning of the huge Macy’s year-end clearance, so if you’ve had your eye on something over there, chances are excellent that it’s been further reduced. Could be worth a look, between the markdowns and the bonus buys and the flying monkeys. (Okay, technically speaking, there are probably not any flying monkeys.)

My family’s about to pile back into the car for a good portion of the day, so I will wish you all a very merry New Year now, and be back with you (and the bargains; of course) tomorrow.

Here’s to a happy, healthy, and hopefully cheap 2009!

There was a small part of me that was thinking of picking up Rock Band after the holidays, you know, for the kids. (Erm, the kids who aren’t yet old enough to play it. But I was just being proactive, you know.) But somehow, once all was said and done, we had not only a new Wii Fit but eight other new games for the kids. (Hey, I only bought two of them.) So… I can’t really justify it, now.

It’s getting close to the time when everyone resolves to go to the gym more often, and even though we all know that by February we’re all liable to be back to snoozing the alarm clock and vowing to go tomorrow (maybe), right now we’re all good intentions.

More Monster Sale

It seems like the big Monster Sale at The Children’s Place is a more or less continuous thing, but I just noticed that they have a separate section of $9.99 and under items, now, which means we’re headed into the lowest prices of the season on a bunch of clearance.

Also, it’s Monday

I can’t keep track of the days during vacation. It has all blurred together into one gigantic day of chaos. (Hello, I must be going. And why aren’t you kids in school??)

Nevertheless, the days march onward. And apparently today is Monday, which means it’s time for the Amazon Monday Toy Markdown, and I know, who could possibly need more toys at this point? Also, some of the prices aren’t that thrilling, true.

But I’m pointing it out because there are multiple games for the Leapfrog Didj that are about half off, so it’s worth taking a look if a short person in your life received one of those over the holidays.

But, seriously, when is school starting up again? Because there are an awful lot of children underfoot.
