Did you know that the big summer sale is still on at Lands’ End? It is, with up to 40% off your summer favorites, as well as all of the great deals you can always find in their Overstocks.
And thanks to pretty Want Not reader Carey, there’s a free shipping code good through tomorrow (July 1st, 2009)—just use code JUNE30 with PIN 9146. Thanks for letting us know, Carey!

I love it when I can proclaim a product to be educational, because then there’s no need to feel any guilt about purchasing it. It’s still nice to score a good deal on it, though.
This week PBS is offering 20% off best-sellers, which means it’s a great time to pick up the DVDs and books you love, utterly guilt-free. They’re also still offering an automatic $5 off your $50+ order or $10 off your $100+ order, too.
And every dollar you spend with PBS supports public television. You know, for the children. (And for my husband, who is a slave to This Old House.)

Those of you who’ve won prizes from Want Not know that I have goofy business cards, because I include one whenever I ship stuff out. One of the perks of working for myself is that I don’t have to have a stuffy, boring template for my cards. And my kids have business cards, too—no, they’re not in business (unless they can make a business out of driving me crazy) (thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week!), but they love having their own cards with their phone number and email addresses to give out to their friends.
Want to get some premium business cards for work, fun, or just because you’re too lazy write down your number for folks? Right now you can get 500 full-color premium business cards from Vistaprint for just $1.99 plus shipping. (There’s a ton of offers on the page that takes you to. Look for “Premium Business Cards” in the left column.) For under $10 you’ll have all the cards you could possibly need, at a price that leaves you plenty of money for the more important things in life.
Like ice cream. And shoes.

It’s not like there’s a shortage of shoes for everyone in the family at 6pm.com, or anything, but today they happen to have a plethora of Bass shoes for men for just under $23 apiece.
So those of you who’ve been chiding me because your husbands are hassling you about all the shoe deals… maybe you’ll just want to go buy him a new pair of shoes, and then if a pretty pair of sandals for you happens to fall into the cart, well, that’s just collateral damage and hardly your fault, I’d say.
Not that I’ve ever done such a thing. Ahem.

Have a Gap, Banana Republic, or Old Navy credit card? The big summer sale at Old Navy is still going on, and through July 2nd, 2009, card holders can take 25% off purchase with coupon code THANKYOU25.
Old Navy, I wish I could quit you. Stop making stylish, cheap clothing my kids love!

I got a free trial of a video game rental service a while back, for the kids. I asked them what games they wanted to put in the queue, and they gave me a list of about six different ones. First on the list was Boom Blox, and when it came they played it relentlessly and by the end of the trial, we’d never received anything else. Because the children were unwilling to give up Boom Blox. (It really is a fun game.)
Now there’s a new Boom Blox game! And right now Boom Blox Bash Party is just $29.99 at Amazon—an amazing price considering it’s still pretty much brand new. It has great reviews, too.
I may have to break down and buy it.

Headed over to Bath & Body works this week? Why don’t you print out this coupon for a free travel-size foaming hand sanitizer with purchase while you’re there?
I’m on their mailing list, so I was actually mailed the coupon last week. I made the trip to the store (I know; me at a store!) and discovered their foaming hand soaps were on sale for $3 (love those), so I picked up a couple of those and it was well worth my trip.
It was also worth it to watch my husband sniff the various scents and make horrible faces. Heh. (FYI, the man-approved scents include Rainwater, Clean Cotton, and Cucumber Melon.)

I don’t know how I missed this one before, but there’s just one day left (today, Tuesday, June 30th) to take advantage of the latest offer from Restaurant.com offer: Pick up a $25 dining certificate for 70% off using coupon code RECIPE—which will net you just $3 out-of-pocket—and you’ll also get a bonus $10 dining certificate. That’s $35 of food you didn’t have to cook for just $3. I don’t know a better deal than that.
The bonus $10 code will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase. And then tomorrow when July starts and all of the restaurants with limited monthly quotas have certificates available again… well, you know what to do.

It’s never going to stop being funny to me, how excited y’all get over deals on label makers. First there was sliced bread, and it was pretty cool, but man, once those label makers came along…! Well, hey, whatever floats your boat. Plus, I bet you know exactly where everything is.
Anyway, today you can pick up a Brother P-Touch 1010 label maker from Buy.com for a cool $9.99 shipped. (It has good reviews and a much higher price over at Amazon.)
Go forth and label!

I am at this very moment headed towards the campground where we’ll spend most of this week. We are loaded up with camping supplies, food, and—of course—books. I don’t know why books are better when read outside, but I’m pretty sure it’s a proven scientific fact that they are. I have a giant bin of excellent camping books with me, but maybe you are headed to the beach and need some beach-appropriate reading. I have it on good authority that today’s contest offers up a trio of books that are “as dishy as books can get!”
Sound good? Five lucky Want Not readers are going to win three fabulous books by Elin Hilderbrand: A Summer Affair, Barefoot, and her brand-spanking-newest release, The Castaways. It’s everything you need for a perfect beach getaway! Except the beach. And the food. And the rest of your stuff. Okay, fine, you probably still need reservations and a suitcase and stuff, but these books will make your trip even better.
For a chance to win one of the five Elin Hilderbrand bundles, first go read the contest rules and regulations, then come back here and leave a comment on this post by 11:59 p.m. Eastern (8:59 p.m. Pacific) on Wednesday, July 1st, 2009 to be entered into a random drawing. Winners to be determined via random number generation and overall dishy-ness.
Ready? Go!
