Various very girly toy markdowns

I hate the gender divide in toys, truly. I was One Of Those Moms; I never bought my daughter anything pink, and I filled her room with trucks and Duplos. She wrapped them up in blankies and put them down for their naps, and loves every monstrous pink hunk of plastic she saw. I no longer question that whole nature/nurture thing.

No, I don’t know what any of these things are. All I know is the Pinypon thing looks kind of like Littlest Pet Shop and Polly Pocket had a baby, and the Winx dolls seem somewhat less offensive than Barbies and Bratz. How’s that for a ringing endorsement?

    Yeah, we tried to avoid the whole “princess” thing and then she started with it @3 years old. I think the kids at daycare were to blame. :) So we have so much pink in my house it makes me sick. Anyway, I’ve seen the commercials for the winx and my girls are obsessed. But I just looked at the stella doll that you have linked–she has a crop top and it looks like she is wearing fishnets. I think that I will stick with the barbies and monster high in this house. :)

    Just to be clear, I am VERY glad to be past this age. And I kind of like the Monster High dolls, though they wear some less-than-chaste stuff as well. Some of the Winx girls were cute, I thought… I liked that one with the fairy wings. :)

    I agree the fairy wings one looks cute. I think my kids are going to have to send you a huge thank you after Christmas! I have definitely bought a ton of stuff for them (and me) because of your deals.

    Thanks Mir! Rachael is 11 and LOVES Winx Club – she watches it every morning – it’s what gets her out of bed at 7 am every weekday! She has been SO hard to buy for this year – this is PERFECT!
