Bunches of batteries

Batteries.com, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

I love the way you ship quickly and show up on my doorstep.

I love the way your alkaline batteries last just as long as the big-name brands.

I love the way you always have coupons and freebies and free shipping, like how right now you can use coupon code 8AAA for 25% off an order of $4.99 or more, and how if you use that coupon to buy a 16-pack of AAAs you’ll also get free shipping, resulting in 24 AAA batteries showing up at my door for just $4.49 shipped.

(Coupon valid through June 26th. Do not go telling me how you can get batteries at the dollar store for less. Cheapo batteries are usually “heavy duty” rather than alkaline, and “heavy duty” means “good for about two minutes of use.”)

  1. I found that if I add anything else to my cart, the free shipping goes away.

Oh, well, AAA’s are good for remote controls and our bicycle lights, so I’ll probably order them. But what I really need are flashlight batteries!

  2. Yes, the free shipping works on a weight restriction. As much as I may wish to completely stock up on these sorts of deals, I always end up ordering just one pack of batteries, to keep the free shipping.

  3. The FedEx truck just pulled up in front of my house and I am now the proud owner of a new, FREE Bunco set!

    Thanks again!

  4. Hey! I don’t have my bunco set yet! But I did get my nail polish. I’m catching up after being internet free for a few days. Thanks for answering my question about cleaning. I also learned if you have lots of carpet and pets, it pays to spend good money on an awesome steam cleaner.

  5. Thanks!! I didn’t want to buy boring old batteries though. If I’m going to spend my personal money, it’s going to be something fun. Let Batteries go in the household budget. I got Monopoly 2, the computer game!!!! For $4.50, shipped!!!!! Thank you, You’re so pretty!!!

  6. Is it lame that I ordered the batteries? Hey, you can’t beat $4.50, though. Maybe I’ll just stick them in my gift closet and they will be there in case there are any toys that come without batteries included. Then I just hope they need AAA and not AA.

  7. ok I’m not gettig how you order a 16-pack of batteries and end up with 24?

  8. I couldn’t love this site more if it was covered in chocolate!

  9. I just ordered 24 AA, 24 AAA then after the code they added my 8 AAA. All for $10.50!!!!! Love this site 🙂
