Stock your wine bar

Okay, maybe you don’t have a wine bar. That’s okay. But if you like moderate wine for cheap prices, you’ve got to check out the Wine Insiders Case Club. You’ll get 12 bottles of wine and a fancy-schmancy corkscrew for just $59.88. That enrolls you in a club where you’ll get 12 more bottles of wine every month (which, hey, maybe you have a wine cellar or an alcoholic handy, I don’t know), but you can cancel after that there first shipment and still enjoy your wine assortment.

The only catch is that you need to live in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NV, OH, OR, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV or WY. (And if you don’t, maybe it’s time to move. Who wants to live in a state where you can’t order alcohol over the internet, I ask you?)

  1. Hmm, only person I know who wants to live in a state where you can’t order alcohol over the internet would be… YOU. You’re moving from a state on that list to a state that is notably not on the list. Do you really think that freedom from mid-April blizzards will be worth it?

You can still get home delivery of chocolate down there, right?

  2. What! What…? Crap.

  3. Wine bar? I barely go through 12 bottles of wine every 6 months, I’d need a wine cellar to store all that.

  4. Stupid Maryland. You can’t buy beer in supermarkets, either.

  5. Hey – I wasn’t the only one who noticed that you’re moving off the special list. I’m doubly lucky – I’m on the list AND in my part of the state we can buy liquor on Sundays. Beer/wine is only allowed in some special grocery stores. Though I can get my prescription painkillers with some wine to wash it down in the same pharmacy.

  6. I don’t have much of a choice as to where I live, unfortunately…and it seems that the Army likes to send me to states where I can’t buy alcohol over the internet…Georgia…Kansas…what’s next?

  7. I did that once upon a time – I thought the wine was mediocre and we never figured out how the corkscrew worked (though it did make an impressive Christmas present for my father).
