Let me tell you, I am all about the Amazon. I think I will have their logo tattooed on my forehead. I pre-ordered Richard Russo’s new novel, long, long time ago, when I first heard about it, and right before they shipped it out, Amazon emailed me and said, ‘hey, sweetheart (we’re that close, Amazon and I, she calls me sweetheart), we dropped the price, and we are giving you the new, lower price, because we love you like that.’ And then I said, ‘let me have your baby, and I will clothe her in cardboard from Amazon boxes because I no longer have any money from shopping here, but I got the boxes, baby! And I will build her crib out of hard back books.’
