Silly Mir, Clif is for kids (too)

(I have the Trix bunny stuck in my head now….)

Did you know that Clif—the folks who make Clif Bars, of course—make treats for kids, too? They do! This was news to me. Anyway, this is notable because Amazon is still running their health bar special through the end of the month; buy $39 worth, and take $10 off your total with coupon code JANBARS8. I wasn’t looking at this for me, earlier, but now I’m considering a couple of boxes of these for the kids.

Absolutely, homemade is better. But under $.46 for a serving of what they think is a cookie and you know is packed with nutrients? Tempting.

  1. My daughter loves Z-Bars, but says the chocolate brownie flavor is the best. They have a very oatmeal cookie-like texture.

    Thanks for this!!

  2. My three year old LOVES these! Thanks for the tip!

  3. We love these. I buy them at Sam’s Club every week. They aren’t terribly high in protein, but they have no high fructose corn syrup, and no trans fats. Whole grains too. Definitely sweet, but they have that ‘healthy’ twang to them as well.

  4. My sons also love the Chocolate Brownie Z-Bars. I tried the chocolate chip Z-Bars, because I love the choc cjip Clif Bars, but I found them very dry. They are good for kids, and also a good snack for calorie conscious moms! In fact, I already ordered using this code, so I have enough Clif Bars and Z-Bars to last for a looooong time!

  5. I ordered these on Amazon a few weeks ago, and you know what??? Amazon screwed up and sent me two large packages of them (and I only paid for one!) When does Amazon ever do that– hurray! (yes, I’m keeping them and don’t want to get into a moral debate about it).

  6. Strange – I tried using the $10 coupon code not long ago and they wouldn’t take it…. I figured I’d missed the boat. I purchased them anyway, because the price was decent, and shipping was free… but now I want my $10 back!!
