Brilliant or frightening?

Here’s one I discovered this morning that still has me scratching my head….

Did you know that Omaha Steaks has an Overstocks section? I mean, hey, on the one hand—cheaper steaks and stuff! Yay! (And, um “and stuff” apparently includes… cookie dough. Of course.) On the other hand—do I really want to be eating meat labeled as an overstock?

I’m not really sure. But I thought I’d share, because I’m helpful like that.

  1. How is it that looking at steak at 9:45 in the morning can make me hungry?

  2. Mir,
Oh so pretty are you! I have worked the holiday season at Omaha Steaks in the past, and even the overstocks are quality products. They also have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, so if you are not happy with your purchase, just call the friendly customer service reps and they will make it right!
The products are so worth the extra price, although I am speaking from the perspective of someone who had 🙁 an employee discount.

  3. My mother-in-law calls the marked down meat at the grocery store “used meat.” So at least it’s not labeled that way.

  4. Steak, yum!
On another note, Lego has clearanced more of their clearance stuff. The advent calendars are down to about $6 (regularly $25), I already ordered 4 for next year. The minifigs included alone are worth more than $6.

  5. Yay Kroger! I’m a total Kroger sale fiend. I’ve gotten blissfully excited over marked down grapes.

  6. Puh-leez, in college, I watched them taking boxes of meat into the cafeteria. It was labeled “edible”
