Ordinarily I am going to err on the side of quality over bargain; it’s not a bargain if it doesn’t work, obviously. And that’s why I usually suggest folks spend a little more on something like a digital picture frame, because that’s the sort of thing worth doing right. You want something with a great-quality display that’s easy to use, etc.

On the other hand, sometimes a bargain is so good I can’t quite resist. So you might want to check out this Nextar 3.5″ digital picture frame at Buy.com, currently just $22.99 shipped.

Is it the best and the brightest? Of course not. Is it an easy way to look like a big spender for not much money? Maybe! It might be worth checking out, at that price. I’m just sayin’.

  1. Count me in for one. Just be aware that you need to transfer pictures to a memory card first to play them on the frame. Images cannot be uploaded to the frame via USB even though the frame can be powered by same. Np biggie – the price was right. Thanks!

  2. That is a good deal…I’m thinking that may take care of the grandparents!

  3. This is a perfect grandparent gift. I had wanted to get them one, but I don’t usually spend much on them, so this is perfect!

  4. I just picked one of these up for my husband’s 30 year old nephew. You know, the family member that we know LEAST well but whom my 2 year old drew for family Secret Santa this year. I’ve been racking my over-stressed brain for what to get him, and you came through yet again Mir. Thanks!

  5. Cool! That’s the perfect size for my daughter. We’re a military family and we move so much. This will be a great way for her to have all the photos of her friends to look at. Her other gift this year is a digital camera, so this is great. Thanks, Mir!

  6. I’m getting one for grandparents as well. AND I got 5% off with a buy.com promotion! $21.84 shipped! SWEET!
