Thanks for the heads up on the last deal. The backpack I ordered just arrived yesterday. I showed it to my son (he’s only 3, so it’s for when he’s a little bigger) and he was not impressed because it was not covered in Thomas the Tank Engine or some Noggin character. My husband and I were like “Look! It has a ‘D’ on it! For Doodlebug[Insert real name]!” He came back with: “No! ‘D’ is for David[a kid at daycare]!” I’m hoping he will appreciate it when he gets older 😐
The backpacks are still there! I found them by going to their overstock section. Just ordered 2 for my kiddos – YAY!!
I got some for my 3 and 5 year old. Like beanery’s son, my 3 year old was not impressed because it didn’t have Lightening McQueen on it. I told him we’d buy a patch and sew it on. 🙂 And Mir, I did manage to pick out a few things for myself at the same time too!
I totally got in on that deal, and ordered one for my 5 y.o. daughter, who will be going to kindergarten in the fall [wipes away a tear], and also one for my 18-month-old son, who is not going to school anytime soon but will someday and who in the meantime wants everything his big sister has.
We haven’t gotten ours yet (the mail takes Forever and A Day to get here), but when I showed my daughter the picture of the bright blue backpack (‘Cinderella blue’, I called it) she wasn’t happy. Oh well. She’ll use it and she’ll like it!
