I don’t do April Fools

So don’t be checking the site today for some great joke; I’m not that motivated. But if you need a giggle, do go check Woot! for a great deal.

Okay, back now? Here’s my morning offering, brought to you before coffee, because this is how much I love y’all: If you’ve been looking for a large-screen, high-end GPS unit, today’s your lucky day. Amazon is offering the Magellan Maestro 4250 for $150 with free shipping, or—if you want to save even more—pick up the refurbished version for $120 shipped.

Both have a 4.3″ screen, text-to-speech, take voice commands (so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road), and are Bluetooth capable. If you’re a AAA member you get integrated capabilities for that, too.

Honestly, the only thing that’s missing from this is a “turn off whining children” switch.

  1. Honestly, I love those Woot descriptions. I particularly enjoy the paraphrasing genius employed on the Steven Stills song.

  2. Did my comment just get eaten?

  3. LOL I DID! OK lets try again…

I love April Fools day, although Woot used that same prank last year.

I’ve been pulling pranks on coworkers all morning, taping up their computer mouse and writing “April Fools!” on the tape. That way it won’t work and when they flip it over to find out why, they will see the message.

It’s a lot of fun, and of course I had to do an April Fools blog as well.

April Fools day ranks right up there with Halloween in my world!

  4. I’m bummed! The ones I really like, the Seville, are vegan-friendly which I think is eco-code for plastic. And I try to avoid plastic.
