New month, new grocery deals

Well hello there, April! There’s little I like more than perusing the new crop of grocery deals at Amazon each month, possibly because I am a giant geek. (A giant hungry geek, one assumes.)

Here’s one I’m digging: Right now you can shop Nile Spice cup soups (which are already 31% off), then use coupon code NSOUP555 to save 15%, plus you can save another 15% by buying via Subscribe & Save (remember, you can always cancel your subscription, later). The end result is a dozen cups of soup for $8.66 shipped, or about $.72 per cup.

Listen; I obviously advocate making your own stuff and staying away from prepared foods like these, in general. But sometimes convenience is king, and if you have to go the cup-of-soup route, Nile Spice is all natural, certified organic, and offers lots of meat-free options.

And your uppity tweenage vegetarian can probably make one herself without destroying the kitchen. I’m just projecting sayin’.

  1. I ate a ton of those when I was an uppity teenage vegan. The split pea was a favorite, if I recall correctly.
