Want a DS Lite before the holidays?

So, remember back when we talked about whether or not the release of the Nintendo DSi would cause prices to drop on the DS Lites? And it looked like Nintendo just wasn’t going to bite? That’s still pretty much the case—the assumption seems to be that die-hard gamers will pony up the extra $50 for a camera on their handheld, and everyone else can just deal. And if you’re really just looking for a game console for your kid, that still kind of stinks.

But! This week, Target has various colors of their DS Lites on sale for just $99! This is a great time to beat the holiday rush and pick one up if you’re planning on getting one to help Santa out, or whatever. Now, you have two choices; you can go to the store, or you can buy one online. Buying online means you’ll pay for shipping, but you can use coupon code TGTBBY92 for 10% off, which should balance out the shipping. Currently, however, silver is sold out online. You can still get crimson/black, cobalt, or metallic rose online as of this posting, however.

Happy shopping!

  1. Thank you SO much for this (and the 10% off code!!)! I just ordered 2 of them.

  2. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I’ve been wanting to get DS’s for my 2 daughters for Christmas but was getting mad at them still being the same price despite the DSi that’s been released… so not fair! Now I can get them for Christmas and not feel as guilty! 😉

  3. Thank you! I just ordered 2 for my youngest two kidlets. No more hysteria as their older brother doesn’t want them breathing down his neck watching him play. Now…to remember where I put them so I can get them back out for Christmas!

  4. Denise,
I always include a list of hiding spots along with my gift list. That way come wrapping time I check my list for what gift I bought and where I hid it.

  5. Of course! I just broke down last week and bought my son a replacement for the one he lost and NOW they go on sale! 🙂
