Mac OSX version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) isn’t being released until Friday, but it’s down to $24.99 at Amazon if you want to go ahead and pre-order it now.
On the plus side, that’s a great price.
On the minus side, if you don’t have Prime, you’ll need to add something to your order to get Free Super Saver Shipping. (Really? They couldn’t just make it an even $25?)

My son is lamenting that our Mac is too old (doesn’t have the right chip) to run Snow Leopard. But the Mac still does everything *I* need it to do, including not costing me an extra arm or leg right now, so we’re keeping it.
