Hours and hours of classics

Remember last year when there was a big deal on a giant set of Scholastic DVDs, with tons of kids’ books being narrated by famous people? I’ve been waiting for that deal to come back. I’m still waiting.

But, I just came across a second set—the Barnes & Noble Deal of the Day is a 100-story DVD set for just $40 shipped! (For comparison: The same set is currently $90 from Amazon.)

This one is also from Scholastic, and also features famous voices (James Earl Jones, anyone?), and whether you keep it as a set or make short work of a number of individual gifts in one fell swoop, it’s a whole lot of literary goodness for the anklebiter set.

(Also: Chicka chicka boom boom, will there be enough room? If I have to have that stuck in my head, now, so do you. You’re welcome.)

  1. I have chick a chick a boom boom memorized so….

  2. Must be gone, I can’t find it. *sigh*

  3. Grrr. I put this in my shopping cart, had to go take care of the kiddos for a few minutes and when I came band and went to check out, the price had gone from $39.99 to $49.99.

  4. I can’t find it either. I just got my teacher’s license so this would have been a wonderful start on books for a classroom . . .*SIGH*

  5. Whoops! I wonder if they sold out—looks like it’s something else now. 🙁

  6. If you search “Treasury of 100 Storybook Classics” it should come up… at $49.99.

  7. ummm… I just read my first comment and guess I wasn’t quite awake when I typed, “come band and went to check out” – should be “come back.” Maybe I’ve got Band Hero on the brain. 🙂

  8. I ordered this from deepdiscount.com last week for 54.95 with no tax and free shipping.
