If you only own one DVD set

I remember when we received Planet Earth on DVD as a holiday gift, a couple years back. It felt like we were the last people on the planet to finally see it, and when we did, the entire family was just entranced. It’s incredible.

And so this year when we finally went for the flat-screen TV and the Blu-ray player, I remember thinking, “Gee, I’d love to go ahead and get the Blu-ray version, but it’s so expensive. I guess I’ll wait.”

So I waited. But today’s the day I stop waiting—right now Discovery Store is having thei semi-annual DVD Sale, and the very first thing on the list (which is a special for today only) is Planet Earth on Blu-ray for just $25! Shipping is $4, and that’s still lower than I’ve ever seen it.

Don’t let this one get away, if you’ve been waiting on a deal.

I can’t wait to see all those weird creatures in high def. It’s possible I need more hobbies.

  1. No, not the last people on earth to see it . . WE’RE still out in the cold!

  2. It is an amazing series. We decided to get the HD on itunes even though we don’t have a blue ray player or hd monitor. That way when we did we wouldn’t be tempted to re purchase. We’ve watched it in HD and it is incredible.

  3. Got it! Thanks for pointing us to this. We just got a Blu-Ray and are trying to find things to “test” it out.

  4. You certainly are not the last people on the planet to see the series. I just bought it for my hubby…saving it for his birthday. So you see, WE are truly the last people who will be seeing it!!

  5. The regular DVD is $19.99, today only as well.
And DCSEML will get you $5 off of a $25 purchase.
Or there’s a free shipping over $100 with code SHIP100.

But I put over $100 in my cart, applied the code, and then changed my mind and took a couple of things out; my total dropped below $100.

…The free shipping stayed. I didn’t do this on purpose, but ya know, just thought I’d share. I feel a bit dirty, but I’m sharing.

  6. Thanks for the info – I’ve been meaning to purchase this set.

  7. Thanks for the info. I got the regular DVD set since we don’t have a Blu-Ray. My daughter has been wanting these and I have never seen them so I am excited.
