Rockin’ the Wii without instruments

I’ll confess: As much fun as I think Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the Wii are, my hesitation about acquiring either of them isn’t just financial. It’s spatial. I don’t particularly want to have to store a guitar or two or—ack!—an entire set of band instruments somewhere in our (already cramped) family room.

So when they first came out with Ultimate Band I was immediately intrigued because you don’t need instruments (score!), but I figured I’d wait for some reviews and also for the price to drop. Well, my wish has been granted; it’s currently just $8.74 and Prime/Super Saver Shipping eligible at Amazon. At that price, I can get one for us and a few for the gift closet. According to the reviews, it’s suitable for younger kids than Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and more active, too.

Plus it doesn’t clutter my house. So, you know, points for that.

  1. I just added it to my cart! My kids want Guitar Hero and Rock Band too but the cost of all the accessories, and storage of everything, has stopped us from getting it. Maybe this will satisfy them. And for a Wii game, it’s cheap!

  2. how do I get Prime/Super Saver shipping? How much is that? I hate it when good deals end up costing less than the shipping!
