Clinique, magnifique

Despite my love of cheap price tags, there are certain areas in which one simply cannot cheap out. One of those areas is skin care; the older I get, the more I realize the value of taking good care of my skin. (Note to self: Build time machine, travel back to the days of “laying out to get a good base color,” and punch young self in face.)

And so I think you’ll understand me when I tell you that I always get a little excited about the Half-Yearly Women and Kids Sale at Nordstrom, anyway, but mostly it makes me happy because that’s when they offer a really sweet Clinique Bonus Offer. This year it’s particularly awesome: Spend $25 on Clinique, get $75 worth of goodies tucked into a Trina Turk cosmetics bag.

Because if you’re going to treat your skin well—and you should—there’s no reason why you can’t get yourself some extra goodies while you do it.

  1. Sweet that is a better gift than I’d get at dillards…now if I can decide if I really want to drive 2 miles to dillards or if I’m going to pay $8 shipping…But regardless I’m glad its bonus time since I’m down to digging the last bits out of my moisturizer.

  2. OOH! Yay for Clinique deals 🙂

  3. Actually Mir, some of the “cheap” skin care products are just as effective as the more expensive ones. Check out http://www.beautybrains.org for more info. (a blog run by cosmetic scientists) about studies that have been done comparing products. Now, makeup, on the other hand, I find to be very different b/twn cheap and expensive brands (other than mascara).

  4. Thanks for the tip! I always buy my clinique goodies at macy’s but they never have such good incentives & I do want to stock up on suncare items 🙂

  5. FWIW, you can use promo code BEAUTY for $5 shipping (or pick it up at your local store).
