Smarter shipping

I always have my eyes open for a good deal on a scale I can use for weighing packages, because I hate standing in line at the post office. I just picked up this 55-pound scale for $16; free shipping with Prime or on $25+ with Super Saver Shipping, and now I can use the online USPS postage program and never stand in line. (I’ll use mine to ship prizes to you, but I know quite a few readers do a lot of eBay and Etsy and might find such a thing useful.)

Besides, the “Does this contain any fragile, liquid, perishable, or potentially hazardous?” question really creeps me out, every time. Does anyone ever answer yes to that? Why does it make me feel guilty when I’m just shipping a book??

  1. Aw man, have they raised the price already? It’s saying $20.58….

  2. And “potentially hazardous” can be so freely interpreted to us imaginative types . .

  3. Actually, it’s a well known fact that any knowledge is a potentially hazardous thing, so shipping books is OBVIOUSLY a violation of all sorts of things. Illegal, immoral and maybe even fattening!

    You rebel, you!
