How much do I love my ice cream maker? So much. Nevermind that we’ve been on a record heat wave here in the south; if it’s homemade, it’s good for you. I’m sure of it. I happen to own this Cuisinart one, which works great, and believe you me, it’s getting plenty of use this summer.
Still, that’s not stopping me from eyeing this Cuisinart Duo Ice Cream Maker, which is currently $50 with free shipping at Amazon (via Buy.com). That’s only about $10 more than I paid for the single version, and would mean I could make one flavor for each kid, simultaneously. Or make a smaller batch so that I won’t eat so much.
Oh, who am I kidding? I’m never going to make a smaller batch. But let’s stick with the whole make-two-different-flavors-at-once concept. Yes.
You are such an evil enabler! I have never even considered needing an ice cream maker, but in the last few weeks you have convinced me. I ordered this and the Ben and Jerry’s ice cream book. Hopefully with a house full of ice cream lovers this might actually save me some money eventually!
