Friday, I think we all survived

One week of school down, 40-something to go. At least we got the first stomach bug out of the way (yes, that’s all I’m going to say about that). Yeah. Um. It’s been quite a week. Let me see what we have in the way of a bit of retail balm for my soul….

It’s Friends & Family weekend at Aeropostale (and their kids’ clothing site, P.S.)! Shop online with coupon code FFAUG or click through to print out a coupon and hit the actual store. I don’t know if they sew cocaine directly into the denim or what, but my daughter will now wear nothing else, Mom, because the Bayla skinny jeans are the only acceptable jeans in the universe now.

The Amazon Friday Sale is still full of K-cups (does anyone else get the feeling there’s an entire Amazon warehouse dedicated to their glut of K-cups? I bet it smells great in there), but there are a few other notables, as well. For example, if I were a nicer mother I might pick up this box of Spree tubes, because they’re half price and everyone knows that Sprees are far superior to Sweet-Tarts. (Plus, at around $.50/apiece, it’s a heckuva a lot cheaper than buying ’em at the movie theater.) And these cocoa roast almonds are not only just about $17 when you buy via Subscribe & Save—a great price for four big containers!—they’re a heart-healthy snack with just a hint of chocolate to curb those cravings. Yum. Also: The Amazon Gold Box holds an HD Roku today, for 20% off! Worth taking a look if you’ve been considering one. Don’t make me tell you how much I adore our Roku, again.

The Target Daily Deals are all over the place today. It feels like it should be a party game—what can you do with a throw blanket, a toaster, a Star Wars comforter, some hangers, and a cookware set? (Please don’t answer that….) Coupon code TOEY738U should still be working for an additional 10% off, too.

I’m loving 6pm.com today; they’ve got discounts on Life Is Good, Patagonia, Adidas, Keen, and more! And don’t forget that through the weekend, orders of $100+ ship for free.

I’m off to sip some tea and nibble some toast. This week’s contest winner will be coming up later, once I no longer feel like I was run over by a truck.

  6. I hope you’re feeling better! August is a lousy time to be sick.

I bought school supplies at Target – composition books for my class – and had to literally run away before I was drawn to the sale racks. Not going there…. not going there… not going there… no matter how cute…
