Rhymes with Coupon

Have you checked out Groupon yet? I know sometimes my ads on here highlight it, so it seems like something you’ve probably at least heard of.

Today’s deal (everywhere; often the deals are geo-targeted, but today everyone gets it) is $50 to spend at Gap for just $25 out-of-pocket. You can’t use it online, so I hesitated—you know how I hate going to the store!—but in the end, $25 of free stuff won out and I bought one. It’s good on sale items, too, which means that you could really score some great deals. Just make sure to read all of the terms. This particular Groupon is only good for three months, for example, so don’t buy it if you can’t go shop before November 19th.

I, for one, am looking forward to hitting the clearance rack with my free money in hand.

  1. Still sad that there isn’t a Gap near enough to us 🙁 My dd is so tiny (wish I had her problem) that I hate getting her clothing on-line.

  2. Whoa, you broke it! The site is down due to the traffic for the Gap coupon (so it says on their placeholder page). Good going, Mir. ;~)

  3. Yup, bought one this morning. It looks like it is a Groupon-wide sale. So, it is the Groupon for each city, I think that’s why you can’t get in anymore. I bought one this morning before leaving the house and was trying to get another just a few minutes ago. Great deal!

  4. We only have a Gap outlet here, but I bought one anywhere. I’ll be in a real city sometime between now and November!

  5. Since I can’t see it (it’s still down), does anyone know if these are good in their outlet stores? We’ll be near one over the weekend 🙂

  6. It is not good at the outlet and only at brick and mortar stores. Hope this helps.

  7. Anyone know if it’s good at gap kids, or just grown up gap?

  8. I just placed my order successfully. The message I got said that I won’t get my groupon email until Saturday due to the heavy traffic on the site, but the order definitely went through.

  9. Emily: It’s good at Gap Kids and Gap Baby, but not at Gap outlets. HTH!

  10. I signed up for Groupon a few months ago, even though the “local” one is for a city an hour away, so this is the first time I’ve actually bought into one of their deals. I suspect the $50 will become new clothes for my husband, who was a Gap employee twenty years ago and still hasn’t lost his love for their classic styles or his mad clothes-folding skills.

  11. I am so all over this!
