Back to school, back to portable snacks

There are certain things I just don’t buy when I don’t have to pack a couple of lunchboxes every day, and I suspect many of you can relate. (See also: Milk boxes, excitement over. Heh.) And this tends to be where I find things on Amazon in bulk that I don’t buy at my local grocery store because they cost too much. (And until we get a local Costco, that’s my plan and I’m sticking to it.)

One of the grocery specials this month at Amazon is a deal on R.W. Knudsen beverages, which includes an assortment of organic juice boxes. That means something like these mixed berry boxes come out to under a quarter apiece after coupon code KNUDS343 and buying via Subscribe & Save for another 15% off and free shipping. Now, those are the little boxes (around 4 ounces), so no good for my big kids, but perfect for little ones.

There’s lots of other options, too. For my crew I may have to break down and get some mandarin lime spritzers to surprise them with in their lunches now and then. (Did you know that if you’re a Very Mean Mother, your kids will come to believe that flavored seltzer is soda? It’s true!)

  1. Those Knudsen juice boxes will be awesome for my twins who are starting preschool tomorrow. I’ve been searching for something they can take for their snack time, and since most juices are *way* too high in sugar (and then they add sugar or splenda on top!), these will be perfect.

    Thanks!
