Hey, it’s October

How did that happen? I’m not ready! Go back!! No going back, you say? Well, fine. I’ll just have to go shopping, instead.

I got an email early this morning saying that the response to the 90% off Restaurant.com promotion from yesterday was so great, they’ve decided to extend it one more day. That’s great news for those of you patronizing restaurants which only offer a limited number of certificates each month; today’s the day to buy those, before they sell out. Remember, use coupon code WOW for 90% off! (And this is the first time I’ve ever seen them offer a discount like that on the 1st of the month. Wow, indeed.)

I told myself that I would not look at shoes on 6pm.com today. And I’m not. I do notice that they have an awful lot of purses on sale, though…. (What? They’re not shoes!)

Does the Amazon Friday Sale have anything worth checking out, today? Well, there’s plenty of coffee (I’m shocked!), but there’s also a 24-pack of Orbit White gum for $21, which is a pretty good price if you need a lot of gum. There’s also some good natural foods deals: Kettle Valley Strawberry Fruit Leathers come out to $9.33 shipped via Subscribe & Save for 30; Late July has organic mini cheddar sandwich crackers and mini peanut butter sandwich crackers for around $17 shipped via S&S for 32 snack pouches—these crackers are a healthier alternative to Ritz and Cheezits and the like, and at this price, no more expensive. Also, it’s not part of the Friday Sale, but Amazon is offering tremendous savings on Kitchens of India products again (this is my favorite “convenience” Indian food by far)—use coupon code KOIPRO55 for a whopping 35% off the already reduced prices, then buy via Subscribe & Save for free shipping and another 15% off. This makes most of the ready-to-eat items come out at about $1.30/apiece, while the sauces are about $1/apiece or less. Love.

Don’t forget that a new month means a new crop of MP3 albums for just $5 each at Amazon, too.

Clearance is still going on over at Aeropostale, and now you can use coupon code CLEAROUT to take an additional 30% off those clearance items.

They’re clearing out at Graveyard Mall, which means you can take an additional 70% off select items with coupon code Shipbyoctober15. I see some incredible light fixtures, a bunch of closet storage stuff (okay, that one is still very expensive, but if you need those items you can’t beat the price!), holiday items, and more. Remember, shipping is a little high there, but the savings usually offset that.

I’m off to try to get organized before November gets here. Stop laughing. I’ll be back later with this week’s contest winner!

  1. I just got 4 restaurant.com certificates (2 $25, 2 $10) for $2.80. That’s insane.

  2. AWESOME!!! Yesterday my favorite restaurant in the town we’re visiting next week was sold out. Today I got 4!! WOOHOO!!

  3. super duper added bonus, you can use that WOW code on gift certificates too. that means you get a $50.00 gift certificate for 2.50 THEN you go and get all of your restaurant certificates.

  4. I’m all stocked up on restaurant certificates for winter, after we stop getting insane amounts of produce from our CSA. Love the farm-fresh goodness but it’ll be nice to let someone else prep the vegetables pretty soon.

  5. I’m finally going to try your highly recommended Kitchens of India products. The Butter Chicken sauce has fantastic reviews!

  6. Have I told you lately how pretty you are? And also how you can use the butter chicken sauce without chicken? We just simmer it with garbanzo beans and vegetables, and add extra water. It’s plenty saucy and spicy even then. Sometimes we use chicken though. It all depends on what’s around.
