A quick Harry Potter gaming tip

My children have lost their fool minds over the new LEGO Harry Potter video games—they already have the DS version and are agitating for the Wii one. Now, I’m a big fan of the LEGO games for the humor factor (what’s more fun than knocking someone’s LEGO arm off? very little!), but the prices aren’t making me feel warm and fuzzy.

So: Currently LEGO Harry Potter for the Wii is $41 and LEGO Harry Potter for the DS is $25, if you want to buy them from Amazon. However, the same games are available directly from LEGO’s Sales and Deal section for $25 and $15, respectively.

Shipping from LEGO starts at just $4.95, so even paying that, you come out well ahead of Amazon’s price. Just in case you have a LEGO Harry Potter gaming fanatic on your hands, too. (And if you don’t: I’d be happy to lend you one of mine….)

  1. Unfortunately the Wii game is sold out but the DS game is still available.

  2. the wii game is so much fun!

  3. so bummed I missed the wii game — it’s #1 on the Christmas list this year!

  4. I was so excited to save a bit on the Wii one. Let us know if you see more sales for that! I’m trying to bet the amazon price if I can.

  5. I didn’t even know there was a LEGO wii game out yet for Harry Potter although I should have guessed. We just bought the Harry Potter LEGO board game for my son for Christmas (it’s selling out fast too) but if I found the wii game, he would be so excited and surprised because I don’t think he knows about it either. Definitely hope it goes on sale again.

  6. Ooh, I’ll take one of yours, please. It’s just no fun playing alone! Um…I’ve heard.
