Looking for a feature-packed point-and-shoot camera for under $100? Amazon (who else?) has you covered: Right now they have the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 available for just $89 shipped. The silver bores you? Okay, it’s the same price in black, blue, or pink, too.)
Nice reviews, and even my photographer husband grudgingly gave the “wide lens” option a thumbs up. It’s the best price I’ve seen on a compact camera with image stabilization, too.
Of course, then I got a lecture about how a real photographer would want more control, and I tell you what, the things I do for you, researching this stuff….
Sweet – I’m getting this camera for my parents for Christmas. I was looking at another one that was much more expensive and I was all stressed out about it. This made the choice easy! 🙂
I have this camera, it’s small and takes amazing pictures. I almost want to get another one for my husband to keep in his car for work and hunting/fishing. Great price!
I don’t have this model, but I love love love both of my other Panasonic Lumix cameras – they take great quality pictures for a tiny point-and-shoot.
The Canon Powershot A3100 IS @ Staples for $99

Silver and red are available. Another option.
LMAO – coming from another photographer (albeit one that has had nowhere near the experience and training Otto has) I actually have to agree AND disagree – yes, having tons of control is definitely a plus, but being able to take a picture without having to carry around 20 lbs of gear? Priceless 😉
Too funny! I agree with your husband but sometimes it’s nice to just pull a small camera out of your pocketbook.
Now, can you please find me a deal on some Pentax lenses? Those babies never seem to go on sale! LOL!
Thanks for your site.
