Heads up, contact lens wearers

When my daughter begged to start wearing contact lenses I forgot about the part where she would forever be coming downstairs waving an empty bottle, demanding that I buy her more saline. Darn needy child. And of course the expensive part of it is the solution, not the lenses themselves.

I’m all over this: Amazon has a two-pack of Opti-Free Replenish value packs (that is, it’s a two-pack of two-packs—40 ounces of solution) for just $14. I usually pay $16 just for one two-pack, so this is more than half off what it normally costs me. This is the solution our optometrist recommends, and I don’t know if it’s any better than anything else, but my kid is kind of a delicate flower and likes it just fine.

And the best part is that I don’t even have to sell her into slavery to afford it, which is good because that could open up a whole O Henry-esque can of worms, y’know?
