Amazon is doing something very interesting, right now: They’re taking small back-to-school items and marking them waaaaay down, one at a time, for a limited time. A few days ago it was glue sticks (I shared that one on the Facebook page), and today it’s a 3-pack of pink pearl erasers for just $.50.
Every time I see one of these, I grab it. Unfortunately, it’s limited to one per account, but for $.50 and free Prime shipping, I can’t really fault them for that. The real lesson here, though, is to keep your eye on this stuff. They seem to be popping up a new school supply deal every few days.
Awesome! I’ve already gotten all my son’s school supplies but I love these amazon deals for buying extras for his school. And there’s a certain perverse satisfaction making amazon mail me a package with one thing in it that cost 50 cents.
I want this, but what is prime? I thought I had it. Please help!
Nicole: Prime is a most-things-ship-free service offered by Amazon for $79/year, or you can snag a (limited time) free membership via Amazon Mom or Amazon Student Prime (the former is open to anyone; the latter requires a valid .edu email address).
The erasers ship for free on their own if you have Prime. if you don’t, they would count towards the $25 Free Super Saver Shipping that’s available to everyone.
My Prime is expired, but they still shipped for free. Give it a try.
I haven’t had Prime in quite awhile (since my free trial expired), and it shipped for free for me too.
Shipped for free for me, too! yaaaay, school supplies.
I did. and it said it was like 6.00 for shipping! =(
