My family loves apples. It’s the one fruit we can all agree on, but there’s a few problems. First, the seasonal issue. Not only are apples currently something like $6/bag at my local store, they’re gross, because they’re either from last year’s crop or imported from who knows where. Second, I seem to have at least one child in braces at all times, and that means the apple has to be cut up, but a cut up apple in a lunch bag browns, and blah blah blah. (My life is hard, yo.)
Anyway. Guess what else we like. Applesauce! No browning! No seasonal issues! Easy to pack in a lunch bag! My kids (who, mind you, are not little) go totally nuts every time I buy them these GoGo SqueeZ cinnamon applesauce pouches. Why? I have no idea. They’re too lazy to use spoons? I love ’em because they’re easy, they’re all-natural, there’s no added sugar. But these puppies are a dollar apiece at my grocery store.
Buy them today from Amazon via Subscribe & Save and the price drops to $25.85 for 48 pouches. But then you can also apply coupon code GOGO4343 to save another 10%, bringing the price down to $22.81. That’s less than $.50/apiece for 48 instances of happy lunch boxes. I’m in.
(And this item will also extend your Mom Prime subscription. Bonus!)
Score!! We love those here (yes, my kid is too lazy for a spoon too). He was doing the happy, applesauce dance when I asked him if he needed those for his lunchbox. (Um, the happy applesauce dance makes me fear his college years.)
Thanks, pretty Mir. These look super fun…my kids will love it…and it’s a great deal.
Awesome – canceled my other subscribe and save. This deal was cheaper and we were down to our last box.
Sigh. Didn’t work for me.
And I’m an idiot that can’t type on my phone. It did work. Thanks for the info.
I changed over to this from the plain too — an even better deal! Our girls do love these – a fun, no mess treat! Thank you pretty Mir!
Woohoo! Thanks, Mir!
I get a case a month. for my teenager.
Here’s a trick for sending cut up apples to school without the cut sides browning: http://www.anotherlunch.com/2010/09/snack-idea-how-to-make-aussie-apple.html
I actually cut each section into a couple of slices before rubber-banding it back together, and usually use two rubber bands to help keep it secure. But it works great!
