Homemade espresso, hold the high price tag

Me, I’m a simple gal with simple needs—while I enjoy espresso (when it magically appears in front of me), I’m fine with a regular coffeemaker that just brews a decent cup of joe in the morning. I’m lazy, I guess, plus I don’t really want to think too hard about my coffee before I’ve had coffee.

But! Every so often we visit my parents and my stepmom makes cappuccino every morning with her fancy-pants machine. And that stuff is amazing. And then my husband and I have conversations like this:
Me: We should buy a fancy machine!
Him: Or stay here forever.
Me: We should stay here forever!
Him: I was kidding.

(It’s magical. Obviously.)

Anyway, the thing is, today Home.Woot has a refurbished Breville Espresso Machine available for $230 + $5 shipping, and while this is crazy expensive for a coffeemaker, it’s actually crazy cheap for this particular one—the regular price at Amazon is $500 new. Check out the reviews there, though, because everyone loves this unit, and at this price, if you were considering upgrading, this might be the right time.

I’m actually tempted. I mean, it’s cheaper than moving back home again, right?
