Have a few holes in your kids’ home library, or looking to do some donations this holiday? Amazon has an assortment of Dr. Seuss books available which are supposed to be buy 2, get 1 free.

But it’s not working quite right.

Instead, if you buy 1, you get 1 free. Ahem. Might want to make your purchases before they figure it out and fix it.

  1. Too bad it wasn’t broken like that over at 6pm or something. 😉

  2. Thanks for this!

  3. One word of warning, if you’re not familiar with the Board Books. They are sturdy, yes, but they do NOT contain the entire book. It’s a (painfully clumsily, sometimes) abridged version. If you have fond memories of a Dr Seuss book and want to share it with your child, I recommend skipping the board versions.

  4. Just put 4 in my cart and went to checkout, only 1 was free. FYI.

  5. You can only get one free, Kristin, but you only have to buy one other one to get it. (If you wanted more than two books, perhaps you have more than one account…).

  6. Thanks for clarifying!

  7. Yes, thanks for clarifying. Two on their way!

  8. great tip, thanks!

  9. Sweet! Worked for me! And yes, the board books are abridged, but my daughter loves them just the same. 🙂

  10. You can also place a two-book order, then another, then another…. all on the same account. I just did it, since I have Prime and will get free shipping on any order anyway. What a great price for stocking stuffers and for a few to put away in the future gift stash.

  11. And you can read them with a fox,
And you can read them on a box,
with chicken pox, while eating lox,

And buy them now, and you’ll save lots!

(Just call the last line poetic license.)

  12. Great gifts for baby showers!

    Thanks Mir.

  13. Great for stocking stuffers and for xmas book swaps 🙂 Thanks Mir!

  14. I just ordered two more and the discount applied again. Keep on trying if you wanted more than two!

  15. I bought two of these yesterday afternoon and they arrived this morning (crazy fast, Amazon, even with prime)!
I ordered two more today, and the “glitch” is still there. Four board books for 10 bucks…no too shabby!

  16. *not
