A million years ago when I purchased The Care and Keeping of You for my tween daughter, I was impressed with what a fantastic “get to know your changing body” resource it was without veering into “sex book” territory. I have probably recommended that book a hundred times over the years, even though it was almost always $10 and never went on sale.
Now I see that they’ve updated and split into two different books, and today they’re both available at their lowest prices to date. If you’re raising girls, check these out! Depends on the age, of course, but for my son we went with The Boy’s Body Book (I see that one has just been updated; we have the older edition) and, a little bit later, What’s Going on Down There?. I think they’re both good.
why are they showing up more expensive now?
we love those books, too — my 10-year-old keeps the first one by her bed and refers to it almost daily, heh.
