As I sit here at my desk—typing and decidedly not exercising—I can’t help but be intrigued by today’s featured deal at Sports.Woot, which is the FitDesk v3.0 Desk Exercise Bike for $200 + $5 shipping.
This thing has all the bells and whistles: It’s a fully functioning adjustable-resistance exercise bike with resistance bands for when you want to exercise your arms, too, but it’s also a complete desk with a stand and a cupholder and even a forearm massager bar to reduce hand fatigue. The whole shebang folds up when not in use.
For reference: this model is currently priced at $270 at Amazon, where it has an average 4.5 star rating with over 1,300 reviews.
Now my only question is whether I get this and sell my elliptical, or do I simply continue filling my house with exercise equipment in the hopes that I’ll actually use it all sometimes…?
I bought one of these last time they were on Woot! I do like it, but there’s no way to adjust the angle of the desktop that I can find… so my arms are at a bit of an awkward position when I try and type, which becomes uncomfortable for long stretches of time.
